What did you learn today?
We went back outside and did more on our adopt a plant sheet and those that finished played "hog call."
How did you show what you learned?
We described how much sunlight our plant need and we described what the soil looked like, felt like and how much moisture it had.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to find out how we can help our plant survive, what our plant evolved from, if they grow back in the summer (perennial and annual?) and about their DNA.

We read the book, Slide and Slurp, Scratch and Burp. We also did marker mania.
What do you need to learn next?
We are going to collect strong verbs to use in our writing.

Oct 11 - What is your Quality of Life?

We filled in a sheet with bubbles and we put a sketch in each of the three areas. Ask me what those areas are!
What do you need to learn next?
We will be "travelling" to the different countries and we want to be able to see what their quality of life is compared to ours.

We went to WW to see if the needs of our plant were being met in the spot that our plant was growing.

We need to learn about the temperature zones to fill out our research sheet.

Top Three Things We Learned
1.          We learned how to play a new card game in math. It was about choosing three cards from a pile and when you drew three cards you needed to order them to make the highest number possible.
2.          In gym today we played our first soccer game of the year. The gym was divided into three sections. Ms. Jones put us is into teams of six. She put each team leader into a section of a gym. The teams across from each other played a game against each other.
3.          For technology time, we sent Ms. Cowdy an emailing writing down four people who we wanted to sit with and telling someone who was an outstanding citizen.

What do we need to learn next?

We need to learn what we are going to do with the outstanding citizen!
