Special Report from our classroom bloggers:

Senna, our Daily Five blogger reports:

This week in Daily Five we worked on our daily five rotations. We are doing WOW #13 and we have to pick a topic and write about it. We are trying to persuade our audience to believe  our arguments. Some of us may be coming home with unfinished work from our daily five checklist.

Ms Cowdy, our Math blogger reports:

This week in math the grade 3's continue to work on subtraction of large numbers. We have been working on regrouping or borrowing and we have mystery phrase sheets to fill in. We will have a quiz next week and then we are moving on to multiplication. Grade 4 have started multiplication of two digit by one digit numbers. We have learned 3 different ways to do this: lattice method, cross multiplication and expanded form. Ask me which one I like best!

Sion, our Science blogger reports:

In Science this week, we did Social Studies. Look for an update next week as we are starting our unit on building and testing materials. We will be looking at different kinds of  bridges.

Cedar, our Social Studies blogger says:

This week in Social Studies, we finished our work in the Calgary Challenge. we are now presenting our slide shows. Some students may have brought their purple duotangs home and need to finish up in order to be ready to present on Monday.
