What did you learn today?
We all went swimming today. Some of us learned new skills like the front crawl, whip kick, breast stroke, some of us practiced already learned skills like back flutter kick, breast stroke with whip kick, spiderman (ask me about this) front crawl and back crawl.
How did you show what you learned?
We went down to the pool with room 2 and we practiced our swimming skills.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to practice kicking, arm movement, head movement, breathing, jumping in, diving.
****Just a note about bringing toys or fidget toys to school. Many students are bringing valuable objects to school and things are happening to them. Just a gentle reminder that toys and valuables should be left at home. Also a note about the fidget toys, that if they are for fidgeting they are effective. If they are treated as toys, they are distractions and students will be asked to take them home. Please be extra careful instructing your child about appropriate fidget spinners use, especially about not putting it in their mouths, as the bushings on some of them come out and are a choking hazard.****

We are going to start planning out what our city is going to look like once our permit has been approved by Mayor Cowdy and Jones.

6 Plant sale is next Friday, May 12 at 10:45 AM. Kindergarten families will be given an opportunity to buy our plants prior to other Dr. Coffin families. We're planning on setting up for our plant sale in the Kindergarten classroom. We will have tomato, cucumber, zucchini, peppers, basil, and cilantro for sale. Prices will range from 2 to 15 dollars, CASH ONLY will be accepted. The proceeds from our sale will be used by the Kindergarten students (which we will vote on) and for funding our L.G.T. program.

After finishing the textbook work, we started to work on a wanted poster for a shape that has gone missing in the school.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to finish our cereal boxes and wanted posters because next week we will be starting a NEW EXCITING project involving shapes and measurement and nets.

We used a wooden board as a lever and we put books on it. We then tested how many dictionaries it would take to lift the load. We tested how much easier or harder it would be to have the fulcrum closer to the load.

We need to finish up the experiment, including our observations and conclusion.
