Highlights
What did you learn today?
We learned that Remembrance Day is important as it honors those that served in the war and shows respect and support for those that were involved.  We read a book about a character who was in the war and learned that a war is an experience that can never be forgotten.
How did you show what you learned?
After reading the story, we brainstormed different words that come to mind when we think about Remembrance day and discussed the connections.  We also started creating a poppy art project for Remembrance day.
What do you need to learn next?
We will take the words we brainstormed to create an acrostic poem that will be showcased at the Remembrance Day assembly. We also need to finish making our poppies.
