We did our archaeology in-class field trip today. We learned about:
- projectile points,
- how to dig at a dig site
- what to do when we discover an artifact at a dig site
- how to assemble a bison skeleton
- how to put together a broken pot
- the difference between a pictograph and a petroglyph (rock art)
- how to tell how old animal bones are by if they are fused or not fused
- cataloging items by colour, shape, material, use and size
- difference between artifacts and ecofacts
