This week in Daily Five we worked on our plan for work on writing which was giving our opinion on what would make our school a better place. We planned it on the OREO page.

This week in math we got new math stretches and they were Winter problems. We have been working all week on subtraction of large numbers. We have been working on regrouping or borrowing.

In Science this week, we spent more time doing Social Studies, but today we did a STEM challenge. We had to build a normal bridge that could hold a dictionary. then we had to build a draw bridge. We all had partners to do it with. This was an introduction to our next unit in Science which is Building and Testing Materials.

This week in Social Studies, we did and are continuing a project called the Calgary Challenge. It is a project that involves a lot of searching for important information that is from the past.
