Oct 7-11 - End of Week 6

End of Week 6!

Important for next week!
Tomorrow is a non instructional day, so there is no school. It will be an extra long Thanksgiving weekend as there is no school Monday either.

We also had a visit from our elder, Saa'kokoto. He showed us a picture of the golden eagle he met this summer. He asked us to draw a picture of it for him.

Work that may be coming home to finish if it didn't get done in class:

  • Math Stretch - Red Duotang
  • Science experiment about the eye - Green Duotang
  • complete the sentences booklet - Purple Duotang
These are all due on Tuesday. Please help your child remember to check in their backpacks to make sure these duotangs come back. We need them everyday.

Literacy Night - please bring your parents from 5pm-7pm and learn about our language arts program.

Swim forms are due Tuesday!

Picture Day on Wednesday!

Special Report from our classroom bloggers:

Jack, our Social Studies blogger says:
We got ideas from Room 7 and Room 2 for our survey options.

Yafet, our Math blogger reports:
Today in math we learned about increasing and decreasing patterns. Decreasing patterns get smaller and increasing patterns get bigger.

Dhvani, our Daily Five blogger reports:
In Daily Five, the grade 3's were doing the SLA and the grade 4's were writing if they went on a voyage, where would you go and what 5 things would they bring? We also had to finish our purple duotang.

Malik, tells us about Science this week:
In Science, we are still learning about light and shadow. we discovered that some stuff in our school grounds reflect light and some stuff doesn't.
